Yo afirmo mi creencia en los fundamentos siguientes de nuestra fe evangélica…

1. Creo que la Biblia fue escrita por hombres divinamente inspirados, que tiene a Dios como autor, por contenido la verdad sin mezcla ninguna de error, la norma suprema y la autoridad ultima para la fe y la vida.

2. Creo en el Dios viviente y verdadero, el único Dios. Creo que El es una unidad y que en esa unidad de la Divinidad existen eternamente tres personas, el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo.

3. Creo que el Señor Jesucristo es el unigénito Hijo de Dios, engendrado por el Espíritu Santo, nacido de María, una virgen, y es verdadero Dios y verdadero hombre.

4. Creo que el hombre fue creado en la imagen de Dios, en santidad; pero que por la transgresión voluntaria cayo de su estado santo y feliz y así incurrió no solamente la muerte física mas también la muerte espiritual que es la separación de Dios y que por esta causa todo el genero humano nace con una naturaleza pecaminosa y en el caso de los que alcancen la edad de la responsabilidad moral son pecadores en pensamiento, en palabra y hecho.

5. Creo que el Señor Jesucristo como un sacrificio representante y substituidor derramo su sangre muriendo en la cruz por mis pecados conforme a las Escrituras, y que los que en el tengan fe tienen perdón de sus pecados, la justicia de Dios les es imputada gratuitamente, y obtienen la vida eterna en la gloria.

6. Creo que enseñan las Escrituras que los verdaderos regenerados, los nacidos del Espíritu, no apostataran para perecer irremediablemente, sino que permanecerán hasta el fin, que su adhesión perseverante a Cristo es la señal notable que los distingue de los que superficialmente hacen profesión, que por su bien vela la Providencia de una manera especial y que son custodiados por el poder de Dios para la salvación mediante la fe.

7. Creo en la resurrección corporal de nuestro Señor, en su ascensión a los cielos, y en su vida actual a la diestra de Dios como nuestro Mediador y Pontífice.

8. Creo en aquella esperanza bendita, la segunda venida personal e inminente del Señor Jesucristo cuando la Iglesia será arrebatada para estar siempre con El.

9. Creo en el cumplimiento literal de las profecías y promesas de las Escrituras que predicen la regeneración y restauración futuras de Israel como una nación.

10. Creo que todos los que se arrepientan de sus pecados y reciben por fe al Señor Jesucristo son nacidos (regenerados) de nuevo por el Espíritu Santo y así llegan a ser hijos de Dios.

11. Creo en la resurrección corporal de los muertos justos e impíos, los justos al gozo sin fin y los impíos a1 castigo eterno.

12. Creo que conforme a la Biblia hay dos ordenanzas de la Iglesia:

a. Que el bautismo cristiano es la inmersión en agua del que tenga fe en Cristo, hecha en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo; a fin de proclamar, mediante bello emblema solemne, esta fe en el Salvador crucificado, sepultado y resucitado, y también el efecto de la misma fe, a saber, la muerte al pecado y la resurrección a nueva vida del fiel.

b. Que la Cena del Señor es cierta provisión de pan y vino; que representa el cuerpo y la sangre de Cristo, y que de ella participan los miembros de la Iglesia reunidos para el efecto, conmemorando así la muerte de su Señor hasta que el venga.

13. Creo que todo creyente debe separarse de todo aquel que dice ser hermano y vive inmoralmente, 1 Corintios 5:9, 11. También se debe separar de todo hereje después que sea exhortado, Tito 3:10 y 11; Judas 22 y 23; Colosenses 2:2; 2 Corintios 6: 14-18; Apocalipsis 18:4; 2 Juan 9-11; Romanos 16:17.

 

Articles of Faith

1.   I believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

2.   I believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3.   I believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of Mary, a virgin, and is true God and true man.

4.   I believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and are sinners in thought, word and deed.

5.   I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for my sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

6.   I believe in the “Eternal Security” of the believer; that it is impossible for one born into the family of God ever to be lost.

7.   I believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present Life there as High Priest and Advocate.

8.   I believe in “that blessed hope” – the personal, pre-millennial, pre-tribulational and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, when the Church will be “gathered together unto Him.”

9.   I believe in the literal fulfillment of the prophesies and promises of the Scriptures which foretell and assure the future regeneration and restoration of Israel as a nation.

10. I believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

11. I believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.

12. I believe that the Scriptural ordinances of the Church are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and are to be administered by the local church, and Baptism, by immersion, should be administered to believers only as a symbol of their belief in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and as a testimony to the world of that belief and of their death, burial and resurrection with Him, and that the Lord’s Supper would be partaken of by believers only to show forth His death, until He comes.

13. I believe that every believer should separate himself from all who claim to be a brother but who live immorally. I Corinthians 5:9,11. He should also separate himself from all heretics after they have been exhorted. Titus 3:10,11; Jude 22,23; Colossians 2:8; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Revelation 18:4; 2 John 9-11; Romans 16:17.
